TESTIMONIAL
Classic Limos,
Since my only job at our dealership is spoiling our VIP customers, I think I know a thing or two when evaluating another company’s service. I definitely know the difference between an average limousine company, and an outstanding one. With that in mind, let me share my opinion of your company’s service last night. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give your gorgeous Packard limo, your extremely professional chauffeur, and all of your many service details, a rating of a billion! My wife and I were simply “blown away” with how incredibly special your company made us feel, for what we thought was going to be a simple dinner (at French 75) in Laguna Beach. After your chauffer dropped us off, my wife said to me, this ranks as one of the three most special evenings of our entire marriage! Wow! You talk about money well spent! Why any one would choose another limo company over yours is beyond me. Classic Limos has raised the bar to a whole new level. Based on my own experience, and your outstanding reputation, we would like your company to be the only official limousine service we recommend to our VIP customers.

How to quickly spot a fake Roll-Royce
Up until a few years ago, you could locate almost all the Southern California vintage limo companies peddling fake Rolls, simply by name. These companies were calling their fakes a “Princess Rolls” or a “Princess Rolls-Royce”.A quick Google search using one of those phrases would result in a shocking amount of local companies engaged in this deceptive business practice. The real name for this car is an “Austin Princess”. It "roots" were Belgium, but it was assembled in England. Most people have never heard of this car before.
When we started to inform the Southern California wedding and event planners that numerous local companies were fraudulently marketing the “Austin Princess” as an authentic Rolls-Royce, an interesting change occurred. One by one, these companies stopped calling their car a “Princess Rolls” or a “Princess Rolls-Royce”.They simply changed the name to Rolls or Rolls-Royce (without naming which model).Rather than “clean up their act”, they simply made a name change to avoid getting caught by well-informed savvy shoppers or professional planners (who know about the nationwide “Princess Rolls” name game). They must have thought they had outsmarted everyone.
We now have found a better way to catch these guys … by simply looking at their own photos!Below is a picture of an Austin Princess, with a fake Rolls-Royce grill and a fake “Flying Lady” on top of the grill. If you look carefully, you’ll notice the grill doesn’t look quite right or fit the car correctly. That’s because it’s a chromed, pot-metal copy, of a real Rolls-Royce grill. It doesn’t have the correct finish, since a real Rolls-Royce grill is hand-polished stainless steel.Like most cheap aftermarket copies, it doesn’t fit the car perfectly. It’s also too wide to be a real Rolls-Royce grill.Adding further confusion, some local companies are so bold they actually call their Austin Princess a Rolls-Royce, without even bothering to install the fake Rolls grill.By the way, a real Rolls-Royce grill (even used) can be worth more as a part, than what some of these Austin Princess cars are currently selling for!
If you’re not an expert on what real Rolls-Royce grills are supposed to look like, don’t worry. The fast and easy way to spot an Austin Princess pretending to be a Rolls-Royce, is to simply look at the windshield. The Austin Princess has what we call a split windshield.Notice how it is actually two pieces of glass, connected in the middle, with a vertical trim strip.A real Rolls-Royce doesn’t’ have this, but will always have a single piece of glass, for its windshield.Click here, if you’d like to see a complete listing (with photos) of all the Rolls-Royce and Bentley models from 1904 on.Try to find one year, one model, that has a split windshield … you won’t.
If you would like to see the out-of-state vintage limo companies that still call these fakes a “Princess Rolls” or a “Princess Rolls-Royce”, just click here, or here.Remember, there are more vintage limo companies in Southern California fraudulently peddling these fakes, than all the other states combined.Since the local companies are now calling them Rolls-Royces, using a “Princess Rolls” Google search, will no longer reveal who they are.Just remember to look at their photos. To read what the British think of the Austin Princess, click here.
